Social Clubs in Fort Myers FL

I started looking for social clubs in Fort Myers, Florida for a pretty simple reason: I wanted more things to do and more people to do them with. I live in a large 55+ community and have friends here, but I also want to meet people outside my own neighborhood and experience more of what Southwest Florida has to offer. There are so many fun things to do in Fort Myers, but I’ve found myself looking at an event and wondering, “Who would I go with?” And sometimes that’s enough to make you stay home.

That’s part of what inspired me to create Connections41.

I Want to Be Able to Come Alone Too

As I’ve been developing Connections41, I’ve realized that I’m actually building the kind of Fort Myers social events I’d like to attend myself. I want to see an interesting event and sign up without worrying about who else is going or whether I’ll know anyone when I get there.

Maybe it’s dinner at a restaurant, trivia, bowling, Topgolf, mini golf, a sunset cruise or a day trip somewhere around Southwest Florida. I’d like to be able to say, “That sounds fun. I’m going.”

And when I arrive, I want to know that other people came alone too. That’s the atmosphere I want to create with Connections41.

Not Every Activity Works for Everybody

This part is personal for me too. I have arthritis, so my activity level isn’t necessarily the same as someone who wants to spend an afternoon running around a pickleball court. But I still want to get out of the house, have fun and experience new things.

That’s why I want Connections41 to offer different kinds of social activities in Fort Myers.

Some events might be active. Others might involve sitting comfortably at a restaurant, taking a boat ride, playing trivia, seeing a show or simply having conversations with interesting people.

You can choose the activities that work for you. Nobody should feel like they have to sit home just because a particular activity isn’t a good fit.
